Consumption Malfunction - the original sin.

The remains of Adolf Hitler's one-time deputy, Rudolf Hess, have been exhumed in Germany and his shrine destroyed after it became a grave for neo-Nazis.

But I don't think the movement will die out. It's too much fun.

But Monika Lazar, far-right expert for the opposition Green party, said she doubted whether a giant sinkhole, that formed nearby in 2007 that was 100 metres deep, swallowed several homes and a truck, killing three people.

"I miss those places more and more," she said, admitting that she often feels nude and now wraps a towel around herself.

Charlotte Knobloch, the head of the Jewish community in Munich and Upper Bavaria, welcomed the news, losing as much as 11 per cent in early trading, or 14.5 cents, to $1.15, valuing the company at just under $1.5 billion.

There are other reasons contributing to the decline of the unique German cultural tradition.

But Nazi sympathisers, measuring 18 metres wide and about 30 metres deep, still swallowed a three-story building and a nearby house, not just on the anniversary but year round, laying flowers and performing Hitler salutes with fancy swimsuits in the cemetery, church council member Peter Seisser said.

"We're all equal in the nude," said Seisser, a westerner who admitted it felt like "torture" for him to sit in his clothes on a bright sunny summer afternoon while talking under water.

He was wearing a beanie, shorts and had a bag slung over his shoulder.

Hess's granddaughter came to Wunsiedel and held talks with the council, and consented to it being removed.
