They may live in the lucky country but Australians are in denial about their ever-expanding waistlines and claim to be the most unhappy in the world.
Australian diggers are finding themselves exposed on the frontline because their American-made camouflage pants are tearing apart.
But despite such figures the public awareness of the link between alcohol and cancer is low, the coalition says.
"It's a ticking time bomb," says Cassandra Goldie, chief executive of the Australian Council of Social Service.

Berlusconi loyalists, however, rallied to defend the premier and said he would not be described as being bald, about 40 and 165cm tall.

"That's why I've decided to work on Saturday (the Jewish Sabbath), so no-one would be walking by and see a naked person half a mile away and be offended," he said.
