Scientists go 'gaga' to find creatures beneath 180 metres of ice

A MELBOURNE bookstore has sparked outrage after being discovered selling a "control a woman" remote - on International Women's Day.
A spokesman for Heather Mills denied reports she was angry about the incident.
Katie Robertson saw the remote in a Borders book store last week, after attending a lunch celebrating International Women's Day.
She was so drunk when she was caught by police that she could barely speak, a court was told yesterday.
Her mother thought she was at a sleepover with a friend.
She said she spent the entire time curled up in my seat thinking ‘how many cockroaches are going to be in my bed when I get out?’.
"There was a strong smell of liquor . . . and her speech was slurred," police told the court.
Ms Robertson says she has no doubt it was intended to be a joke, but that argument does not wash with her.
She also stripped to dance naked behind a translucent glass screen.
And it has scientists musing that if shrimp-like creatures can frolic below 182 metres of Antarctic ice in subfreezing dark water, what about other hostile places?
They are scheduled to appear in the Cleveland Magistrates Court on March 30, each charged with one count of public nuisance.
